Chloe Garcia

Chloe's full name is Chloe Christina Garcia and is Nikki's BFF. Nikki says she has the manners of a 'barnyard animal'. Chloe is apparently crazy, and met Nikki because she and her first BFF, Zoey, were shelving books with her. She is quite tough, and a bit cheeky. Also overprotective! She chucks her friends under the bus a few times, but hey! She makes Nikki laugh, especially with her "Jazz hands". 

Chloe loves to read and is good at advising Nikki in love. She's apparently the 4th most unpopular person at school, according to Nikki. Chloe is the opposite of sensitive and usually takes Zoey's side, as they've known each other longer. In book 9, she gets braces. 

|Personality|

Chloe is vivacious, sweet, and loyal to Nikki and Zoey. She loves them and they eat together frequently at lunch during school. She is more bubbly than her friends and relates to Brianna, Nikki's younger sister, better. She is a cheerful, optimistic, yet childish girl. She likes to do jazz hands when she is elated. Recently, Chloe has become more self-conscious about her looks due to her new braces. Zoey, like Nikki, is against Mackenzie. She is apparently one of the best dancers in the school.

|Appearance|

Sometimes I get Chloe and Zoey mixed up because of their names, but when I see their hair I know Zoey is Zoey. She is Latina and has long straight hair. It's not clear, but her hair is black. Though people say she's brunette or ginger, she's actually not! Most of the time she wears half ponytails or full ones, in tank tops, and things like that. Her eye color is not proved but I think it's blue, green or brown. 

She gets braces in book 9 with hot pink wires and purple brackets.

Family

Chloe's family has not had a proper part in the series, but her Uncle Carlos has a few pages, and so does her mom. In How to Dork your Diary it says she has a brother, Joey Garcia, but other than that it' not so clear. 

Friends

Chloe has been BFFs with Zoey for quite a while, but she became friends with Nikki in the first book. 

Nikki Maxwell

Nikki Maxwell 

Nikki's full name is Nikki Jullianne Maxwell, and is the main character in Dork Diaries. She writes a diary and calls herself a 'Dork'. 

Nikki calls herself a 'Dork', and goes to WCD (Westchester Country Day) with her BFFs, Chloe and Zoey, on a bug extermination scholarship (her dad's the bug exterminator). No one knows it yet, either, which is why Nikki's so AWKWARD!

Nikki has a crush called Brandon Roberts. Mackenzie Hollister and Jessica Hunter. Mackenzie likes Brandon, too, which is one of the main reasons she hates Nikki.

Nikki is unpopular, and has an awkward social life, and is the opposite of a CCP (Cute, cool & popular). Nikki says, the only way Nikki got close to being popular, was having a locker next to Mackenzie Hollister's. 

She is the 9th most unpopular person at Westchester Country Day, according to her self-written list (second book). She writes in her diary almost every day about the events in her life. She despises her locker neighbor (and enemy), Mackenzie Hollister, for being mean and quote "a shark in lip gloss."

She also dislikes Mackenzie's friend, Jessica Hunter, who is as nasty to Nikki as Mackenzie is. Nikki and Mackenzie both have a crush on Brandon Roberts and compete for him. Nikki also has a younger sister named Brianna. Brandon possibly likes Nikki, since he sees what Mackenzie does and likes hanging out with Nikki.

She is the best artist in Westchester Country Day and wants to be a professional illustrator or an art teacher when she grows up. Although her success in the music industry and having her own TV series in the seventh book might land her in a different position of occupation. Nikki loves to draw, and in all of her books are illustration. 

She is described as an amazing singer, dancer, and artist. Throughout the books, Nikki seems to grow more confident in herself and does refer to herself as a dork, not only in her diary but also in public. To be honest, she seems to be a DRAMA QUEEN in her diary, not JUST Mackenzie. 

|Personality|

Nikki is thoughtful, kind, and sometimes, a bit over-dramatic. She truly describes herself as a dork. She loves her family and friends, but can be harsh towards her younger sister Brianna. She describes her as "a category five hurricane in pigtails." She also thinks that her parents can be "brain dead" at times and don't seem to understand her. When Nikki gets excited or elated, she shouts, "SQUEEEEE!" She despises Mackenzie Hollister for always trying to make her life miserable. But nevertheless, Nikki is a caring and outgoing person. 

|Appearance|

Nikki often wears her hair in pigtails, and if you look her up some photos portray her with brown hair and green eyes (which is true). Nikki weighs 105 pounds or 48 kilograms. Her style is mostly dorky, but in the latest books she seems to wear quite expensive-looking clothes. 

Nikki shops at stores like Target and Macy's, so are apparently 'unfashionable'. She doesn't wear much makeup, only a big of eyeliner and lip gloss.

Family

Nikki has a Dad, Mom and six year old sister, Brianna. Also a Grandma, who Nikki calls 'Wacky...OK, a LOT wacky!'. In the first book, we also see Aunt Mable, Uncle Augustus, and her third cousin Billy Bob, though they all seem quite insane. Nikki says she loves her parents but sometimes they're a bit wrong. And she even says she wished she was an only child :o

Pets

In Book 10 (Puppy Love), Nikki adopts eight dogs, but only takes one of them, Daisy, to live with her full time. 

Friends

Nikki says her BFFs are Chloe and Zoey, the second and third most dorky people in the whole school. There is also Brandon Roberts, Theodore .L. Swagmire III, Marcy Simms, Max Crumbly, Marcus, Jenny, Violet Baker, and Jordan. She is friends with Mackenzie for a bit of book 11 but they break up eventually. 

Love interest

Nikki has a crush on Brandon Roberts, her biology partner. So does Mackenzie Hollister, the most popular girl in the school. But Brandon has no feelings for Mackenzie. Unlike most people, he has feelings for Nikki.

In book 6, Nikki and Brandon kiss, but Mackenzie creates a rumor about Brandon only doing it because of a dare for a Queasy Cheesy gift voucher. Nikki, Chloe and Zoey check his bill to see if this was true.

Dork Diaries: Tales from a not so Dorky Drama Queen

After Mackenzie steals Nikki's diary, she writes entries inside. We find out her life isn't so perfect as it seems...especially when she turns from a popular girl to a social outcast!

We see Mackenzie's life at home, and her vision of life. We also see her transfer from WCD to NHH, a new school. 

Nikki finds her diary as Mackenzie is leaving, and Mackenzie is officially out of Nikki's life! WOO-HOO!!

Mackenzie is finally at a new school, and Nikki and Brandon are finally alone in peace to discuss their family life. They meet at the CupCakery, and as they go to kiss...MACKENZIE TURNS UP!!

Nikki finds out Mackenzie is pretending to be her at her new school, so Brandon and Nikki leave to Brandon's work area, Fuzzy Friends.

After seeing an orphan puppy, Nikki decides to secretly adopt it in her room. Leading to lots of horrific, crazy...DRAMA!!

Mackenzie's gone, but for a week, Nikki is told to transfer to NHH, Mackenzie's SCHOOL! 

Nikki meets that school's Queen Bee, who becomes Nikki's "BFF" (Apparently). Then, Nikki ditches her, and meets...MACKENZIE!!

Can Nikki deal with 2 mean girls, a super posh new transfer school, and A BIG PROBLEM????!!! Personally, this is my favorites, other than the latest one.

All the books Part One

Dork Diaries is a series, created by Rachel Renee Russel. The protagonist, Nikki Maxwell, writes a diary about her awkward, dramatic and dorky life. 

1. Book One: Dork Diaries - Tale from a not-so fabulous life

Fourteen year old Nikki Maxwell attends Westchester Country Day (WCD for short) on a bug extermination scholarship, thanks to her dad. Nikki does not fit in at all, she's an utter dork! Two girls who are booked on the same day as Nikki to shelve books become friends with Nikki, and their names are Chloe and Zoey, who are also Dorks. The three of them detest the most popular girl in the school, Mackenzie Hollister, who picks on them and makes their lives miserable. Nikki calls Mackenzie a "CCP" which is Cute, cool and popular for short. Nikki develops a crush, too. Her biology partner, Brandon Roberts.
Nikki's sister Brianna is mentioned in this book.

2. Book Two: Dork Diaries - Tales from a not-so popular party girl

Nikki hopes her crush, Brandon Roberts, asks her to go to the Halloween dance with him. But Mackenzie, Nikki's number one enemy, is bragging about going to the dance with him (BTW, this is a lie)! Nikki and her BFFs decide to sign up for the clean up committee with Chloe and Zoey, although it's just to sneak in to the party early and tell everyone they're dating one of the band mates though Nikki explains that if they're one of those crazy boy bands, she's not going to (this plan eventually is ditched). Nikki is also trying to babysit her little sister, Brianna, who is at her friend's birthday party. Brandon asks Nikki to the dance, AND gets busted for multi-tasking.
                                         

3. Dork Diaries: Tales from a not-so talented Pop Star

Nikki is scared that her bug extermination secret will be revealed, because Mackenzie released a few bugs to ruin her reputation. Nikki is making sure no one finds out. When Nikki was at a pizza place, Cheesy Queasy, she and her sister are asked to be the "Lucky Ducks" to get up and sing the Cheesy Queasy theme tune, though Mackenzie and Jessica is there filming her with their phones! Nikki waits for Mackenzie to post it on Youtube, but it doesn't happen...yet! Nikki and her BFFs break up since they join Mackenzie's dance group, though they all get together again and win the school talent show with Brandon, Theo, Marcus and Violet (their band is called Actually, I'm really not sure yet and they sing their made up song, "Dorks Rule").

4. Dork Diaries: Tales from a not so Graceful Ice Princess

When Nikki finds out Brandon Roberts, her crush, works at a dog shelter that has a fear of closing down, she wants to help. Nikki, Chloe, and Zoey, all decide to skate in an ice skating competition held by the school to win the money to keep it open. Thing is...she can't skate! Mackenzie, who also has a crush on Brandon, decides to interfere...by swapping Nikki, Chloe, and Zoey's ice skating fairy outfits for CLOWN outfits! Then, Mackenzie viciously locks Nikki in a storage cupbourd, Nikki breaks out and, with her BFFs, they win the competition and save the day. 

Dork Diaries: Tales from a not-so Smart Miss Know it All

Nikki Maxwell’s rival, MacKenzie, starts writing a gossip column, so Nikki takes a sudden interest in journalism and joins the school newspaper staff. Nikki just wants to keep tabs on Mackenzie and keep her from spreading some juicy gossip involving Nikki’s crush, Brandon. Soon, however, Nikki’s new role as an advice columnist makes her inbox overflow with pleas for advice. Luckily, Miss Know-It-All gets guidance of her own from her best friends, Chloe and Zoey.

Dork Diaries: Tales from a not so happy heartbreaker

Nikki is afraid to ask Brandon to the Sweetheart Dance. She is also afraid that before she gets a chance of asking him, he will ask MacKenzie, Nikki's snobby, lip gloss addicted arch-enemy instead of herself. Also, it was revealed in Tales From a Not-So-Smart Miss Know-It-All that she and her band, Dorkalicious, will record her original song, "Dorks Rule", with Trevor Chase. However, Trevor calls Nikki and tells her he won't be able to record with the band.

Dork Diaries: Tales from a not so Glam TV Star

Nikki is in the spotlight. A reality TV crew will follow her and her friends for the whole month of March as they record their hit song together. But will the excitement also cause unexpected problems.Also in the seventh book of the series, Nikki will have her first kiss which will be in the center of some nasty rumors . Nikki's band is called "Actually, I'm Not Really Sure Yet", and her song is called 'Dorks Rule'. 

Nikki and Brandon almost kiss, though they are interrupted by Brianna at the end of the book. 

Dork Diaries: Tales from a not so Happily Ever After

When Nikki is slammed in the face with a dodge ball by Mackenzie Hollister, and sent into a dream of fairy-tales. Chloe, her BFF, is Goldilocks, and Zoey is Little Red Riding Hood. Then Marcy is Rapunzel, Jenny is Sleeping Beauty, Violet is Snow White and Brandon is the Prince!

Nikki actually wakes up, and this leads to a big drama. Mackenzie is sent to do the showers, getting a bug in her hair, leading to book 9...
